Dr. Belen, our experienced and dedicated dentist, brings over 30 years of expertise to our practice. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, her passion for dentistry was sparked at just 11 years old when she woke up with a clear vision of her future career. This early calling led her to pursue her dental education at the prestigious University of the East, where she graduated in 1989. Throughout her career, Dr. Belen has gained invaluable experience working in both private and public dental offices. Her exposure to a diverse range of cases has equipped her with the knowledge and confidence to provide comprehensive care to patients of all backgrounds. Her dedication to excellence and her compassionate approach have earned her the trust and admiration of her patients and peers alike.
In 2011, driven by a desire to explore new opportunities, Dr. Belen made the life- changing decision to move to the United States, settling in Orange County, California, with her four children. As a devoted mother, her children remain the heart and soul of her world, and she cherishes every moment spent with them. Compassionate, driven, and deeply family-oriented, Dr. Belen is equally passionate about serving her community and helping others achieve their brightest smiles. While navigating the challenges of motherhood and pursuing her professional aspirations, she has continued to grow both personally and professionally, embodying resilience and dedication in all aspects of her life. Her unwavering commitment to her craft and her relentless pursuit of growth culminated in a significant milestone in 2023 when she established her own dental practice. Embracing her role as a leader in the dental field, Dr. Belen is passionate about creating a warm and welcoming environment where patients feel valued and cared for. She believes that dentistry goes beyond restoring smiles – it’s about empowering individuals and helping them regain their confidence.

Barbara brings her vibrant energy and passion to our dental office. When she’s not ensuring exceptional patient care, she loves staying active through biking, hiking, skateboarding, and swimming. Her dedication to self-care extends to relaxing massages and visits to beautiful resorts. With a keen appreciation for esthetics and the arts, Barbara finds joy in exploring creativity and wellness. We’re proud to have her as part of our team!
Miriam Fernandez
Registered Dental Assistant
Miriam is a dynamic and passionate member of our team, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every aspect of her work. Originally from Nicaragua, she has a deep love for soccer, fitness, and staying active – even completing numerous half marathons. When she’s not on the move, Miriam enjoys exploring the world, with Spain standing out as her favorite destination so far. She earned her Registered Dental Assistant license from Concorde College and takes pride in providing exceptional care to our patients. Be sure to say hello during your next visit!
Yorcy Barrios
Administrative Assistant
Yorcy is a valued member of our team, bringing her adventurous spirit and enthusiasm to everything she does. With a deep appreciation for her Guatemalan heritage, she especially enjoys savoring traditional Guatemalan breakfasts. Yorcy earned her Management degree with a minor in Real Estate from California State University, Northridge, after completing her studies at College of the Canyons. In her free time, she loves exploring the great outdoors through hiking and expressing her creativity in the kitchen with cooking and baking. Her passion for new experiences and dedication make her an integral part of our team.
Susan Avanzado
Billing Coordinator
Susan is our dedicated Billing Coordinator, ensuring every patient’s billing experience is smooth and stress-free. Beyond her expertise in dental billing, she has a passion for exploring new cultures. One of her most memorable adventures was her visit to Japan, where she enjoyed savoring delicious Takoyaki, admiring the iconic Glico Running Man in Osaka, and paying homage to the heartwarming Hachiko Statue – a symbol of unwavering loyalty. Susan’s love for travel and cultural experiences brings a unique and vibrant energy to our team. We’re fortunate to have her as part of our Reseda Smile Dental family!
